A Message from our Chairman, Leo J. Dembinski
and President, Joyce A. Richards

We extend our special thanks to you, our friends, for helping prepare our children to successfully assume their role in our society and economy. During the 2006-07 school year, we experienced a 10% growth in students served. More than 74,000 kindergarten through 12th grade students received our business, free enterprise, financial literacy and career exploration programs delivered by dedicated and caring adults.

Over the past five years, our student participation has increased by 80%, and the demand for our programs continues to increase each year – for both our in-classroom programs and our experiential program, JA BizTown™. As we look forward, our vision is clear: To position ourselves to prepare an increased number of students for success in life and work, while ensuring the quality of our curriculum continues to be responsive to the needs of the school systems we serve, and to maintain our financial strength.

We have reached full capacity in JA BizTown™, serving 13,000 fourth through sixth grade students annually who are gaining the skills, knowledge and attitudes for entrance into tomorrow's workforce. We’re proud to be positively impacting so many young lives, while at the same time responding to the urgent need for expansion. We have launched a capital campaign to build out a second JA BizTown™ to accommodate an additional 13,000 children eager to acquire the skills necessary to excel in school, in the workplace and as the future leaders of our communities.

We invite you to make a lasting impact on thousands of young lives through an investment in our JA BizTown™ capital campaign. It’s an exciting time to be a part of Junior Achievement as we’re on the threshold of a major expansion that will provide life-changing inspiration for thousands of children. Please call or stop by to explore how you might partner with us to create a bright and productive future for Arizona’s children.
