JA Finance Park™

Opening May, 2009

JA Finance Parkâ„¢ is a reality based hands-on simulation, correlated to Arizona Skills Standards for 8th and 9th grades, that enables them to build foundations for making intelligent lifelong personal finance decisions.

JA Finance Parkâ„¢ introduces students to a variety of industries, and educates them on creating and implementing a complete personal budget. Students will understand the many pieces of a budget, and learn to put together the complete budget puzzle, including: rent/mortgage, car payments, insurance, savings, entertainment, groceries, and more! Through a variety of Life Scenarios, students will learn the economic benefits of an education, and begin to see the many career options available in different industries.

Junior Achievement’s experiential program JA Finance Park™ gives students the opportunity to combine practical applications with the general principles they have learned in the classroom by incorporating 21 teacher-led lessons with the four-hour onsite simulation.
