JA You're Hired! Workplace Skills Challenge™
JA You're Hired! is a locally developed Junior Achievement program with three components: a preparatory curriculum, the JA You're Hired! Workplace Skills Challenge, and the JA You're Hired! Internship Program. The first component is a volunteer and teacher-led curriculum is designed to prepare high school students for their futures. From the students who complete this program, 10 are selected to attend the JAYH Challenge. During the Challenge, students participate in workshops and competitive sessions on networking, interviewing, leadership, ethics and more. Participating Juniors are eligible for part-time internships (Fall 2010). Interns are required to complete the JA Intern Professional Development Program prior to starting (Summer 2010) and prepare final presentations.
