JA You're Hired! is an innovative Junior Achievement® program for college-bound high school students that empowers young people to own their economic success. JA You're Hired! has three parts, and begins with a volunteer and teacher-led curriculum designed to build career readiness and skills valued in the global job market. Then, a group of students from each participating school attends the JA You're Hired! Challenge. This Junior Achievement® student event is held annually in the Phoenix metropolitan area and is scheduled for March 27, 2013. Here, students will participate in workshops and competitive sessions on networking, interviewing, leadership, ethics and more. Finally, participating Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply for part-time summer internships. Interns are required to follow through with the third component, the JA You're Hired! Professional Development Program prior to and during their internship.
Over 96% of students and 100% of teachers agree that JA You're Hired! is an excellent and enjoyable educational experience that they would recommend to peers. This locally developed program received national recognition with a MetLife Foundation Award recognizing innovation and entrepreneurial programs.
