VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

JA CAREER SPEAKER SERIES – DODGE MIDDLE SCHOOL

Mentors from the community come together to speak to students about their lived experiences and career journey.  Mentors will visit and rotate through 1-4 classrooms for about 45 minutes to 1 hour each, and speak to students about their education, interests and career. All volunteers will be given a facilitator guide that contains prompts for career speaking and a short activity if there is time. The true magic of this program is the connection mentors make with students and the real-world connections they are able to take from the day. This is a light lift and there is not much preparation to be done ahead of the event other than the orientation.

  • Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 | Multiple 45-minute time slots available
  • Dodge Middle School | 5831 E Pima St, Tucson, AZ 85712
  • Skills needed: Public speaking, standing for periods of time, communication
