JA STEM Summit

The JA STEM Summit gives middle and high school students an opportunity to see the application of science, technology, engineering, and math in the real world. The program also introduces students to high-growth, high-demand STEM career path options and gives them the opportunity to practice soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Volunteer mentors explore potential career fields with students as they participate in the hands-on, experiential sessions. Students face various interactive challenges designed to illustrate the importance of taking math and science classes in school, preparing students for future STEM careers.

What makes JA programs so impactful for our students? They are taught by volunteer mentors from local businesses in the community. People just like YOU! It takes more than 9,500 volunteer mentors to teach our 170,000+ Arizona students each year.
