At Junior Achievement of Arizona, we give students the tools they need to pursue and accomplish their goals. That’s why we’re sharing these two incredible opportunities for students to win money to put towards their education.
AZ529 2025 Essay Writing Contest
- Who Can Apply: This opportunity is available for all 5th and 6th graders in Arizona, whether they attend a district, private, charter, home, or tribal school.
- Prize: Twenty students will win $529 to put towards a new or existing AZ529 Education Savings Plan, helping them fund their post-secondary education.
- How to Apply: Write an essay answering the question, “What is your dream job and how do you plan on achieving it in the future?” Responses must be between three paragraphs and 350 words long.
- Deadline: Students must apply by October 5, 2025 at 11:59 pm MST.

Chick-fil-A Community Scholars Program
- Who Can Apply: This opportunity is available for outstanding high school seniors and students already pursuing higher education.
- Prize: Up to thirteen students will win a $25,000 scholarship and an invitation to the Chick-fil-A Scholars Program, which involves one year of mentoring and leadership development.
