Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Anne Landers drives organizational excellence and community impact for Junior Achievement of Arizona, ensuring students, educators, volunteers, and partners experience the full value of JA’s mission. A strategic leader for more than a decade within the organization, Anne oversees statewide programs, marketing, external relations, and data strategy—advancing JA’s reach to tens of thousands of young people each year. Working closely with the President and Board, she champions JA’s thought leadership in workforce readiness, financial capability, and economic mobility, representing the organization in key education and business forums across Arizona.
Anne is deeply engaged in statewide workforce development efforts. She serves on the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board, where she chairs the Youth Committee, helping to shape strategies that prepare young people for success in Arizona’s evolving economy. She also contributes as an ad hoc member of the Phoenix Workforce Development Board, strengthening alignment between education, industry needs, and regional talent pipelines.
Anne brings a strong background in nonprofit leadership, operational strategy, and partnership development. Before joining JA, she served as Interim Director for Life In Abundance, guiding U.S. operations and fundraising to support community development initiatives across Africa and the Caribbean. She began her career with the advertising and PR firm Decibel Blue, where she was one of the agency’s earliest team members and led national consumer accounts including Dunkin’ Donuts and My Sister’s Closet.
Recognized as a Phoenix Business Journal Outstanding Woman in Business, Anne holds a degree in Journalism from Arizona State University and is a proud alumna of Valley Leadership, Scottsdale Leadership, and the Allstate Executive Leadership Program at Kellogg | Northwestern. She is passionate about ensuring every Arizona student has access to the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to build a thriving future.
