Our volunteer mentors leave a lasting impression on the students they teach. In fact, 51% of alumni who experienced JA as a student have gone on to work in the industry of their JA volunteer!
Last year alone, JA volunteers donated more than 90,000 hours teaching JA programs (an estimated $2.25 million value), which enables JA to leverage all contributions to serve even more students!

Volunteer opportunities include:
- Classroom Volunteers to lead JA-developed lesson plans that teach financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship in K-12 classrooms across Arizona. A certain school or age group have your heart? We do our best to match you with your geographic and grade-level preferences!
- JA BizTown/JA Finance Park Volunteers assist with JA BizTown® or JA Finance Park® simulations where you will help a small group of students run their business or create a personal financial plan.
- Special Events Volunteers are needed on our event committees, helping with the fundraising and event logistics, and are also needed day-of the events to assist JA.
- Administrative Volunteers are needed to assist JA staff with various projects in our Tempe and Tucson offices.
