JA Receives Funding for 90,000 Students

Posted in: Support

The pandemic has brought on many challenges and changes for students, educators, and the nonprofits who seek to serve them. We are thankful to announce we were recently awarded $2.7 million in funding from Governor Doug Ducey, equipping JA to impact 90,000 low-income, ethnically-diverse Arizona students over the next three years!

What does this mean for the community? JA currently serves over 80,000 students per year, but there are thousands more that still lack the tools and resources they need to succeed in work and life. Now, the kids who need us most will have a chance to succeed in a more equitable future!

At JA, we serve as an extension of the Arizona education system, providing support for teachers, their students and their existing curriculum. We have re-imagined learning with innovative programs that can be accessed from anywhere, allowing K-12 students to connect what they are learning in the classroom to the real world.

Thanks to this additional funding, thousands more children now have a chance for a brighter tomorrow. We thank Governor Ducey for recognizing the importance of JA for our students, educators, and our community.

Most of all, THANK YOU for your support in making this a reality – we couldn’t have done this without your help. Together, we are providing hope for our combined future!
